You should see part 1 and part 2 of this series to get up to date with what is happening with my e-cigarette quest.  You can also see part 4: the flavor quest and part 5: traceable cost

Since I was saving so much money on e-cigs, I decided to order a better kit with much longer battery life (so they claimed).  Also, since I was totally happy and had confirmed that modern vapors customer service was simply awesome, I was obviously going to continue doing business with them.

I ordered the Lux kit, which included these items:

You will notice I also ordered some additional bottles of e-juice and some dual coil cartomizers (more on these below), and also a pre-filled cartridge of a flavor called RY4 I had read so much about online for a total cost of about $106 with shipping.

I have to admit, I still have some of the usa mix 20ml bottle from the first order but there are so many flavors I wanted to try them all to find the ones I liked most.

When this kit arrived though, it was instant bliss!  You can’t even compare how much better the lux kit is to the sideshow kit.  In my review on their web site, I stated the lux kit gives 10 times the performance of the sidesho kit for half the price.  Even though I am writing this article Feb 2012 and post dating it back to the time this kit was ordered, I still firmly say that is true.

So what is the difference?  The sidesho batteries are good for 3 or 4 hours.  The lux kit battery last about 36 hours (even now that it is 3+ months old).  Where you had to fill the sidesho cartridges with 4 – 6 drops every couple hours, I fill the dual coil atomizer once in the morning and then usually again in the evening (and one of these dry and new takes 40 – 60 drops of e-juice).  The sidesho has good vapor when you first add the drops but quickly tapers off after the first hit or two, the Lux has so much vapor it will choke you…..most of the day long.  The sidesho looks like an e-cigarette, the lux just looks awesome!

There are absolutely no complaints here with this e-cigarette.  It has never left me down.  It comes with two complete electronic cigarettes so I basically leave one on the charger and every morning swap them.  I randomly allow them to completely discharge and they will last between 30 – 36 hours on a full charge.  You also don’t have to fill the cartridges as much.  The lux kit is simply less maintenance and better performance!
